Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Accélérateur Local collects, why, how it is protected, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights, whether you are a client, a candidate or a site visitor.

Who we are

Accélérateur Local is the operating name of 9543-6325 Québec inc. (NEQ 1181021420), based in Brossard, Québec. We recruit, train and manage remote talent on behalf of client companies. We act as the party responsible for information collected through this website, and as a service provider for certain information processed within a placement mandate, as set out in the applicable service contract.

This policy covers all personal information collected through accelerateurlocal.ca, our forms, our email and phone exchanges, and our recruiting and placement processes.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to answer your request, deliver our services or improve the site: contact details (name, company, email, phone), mandate details (role sought, start date, description of the need), browsing data (IP address, device type, pages viewed, visit length), communications (emails, call notes) and application data (CV, experience, portfolio, references) for people who apply through the Careers page.

We never collect full financial information, such as card or bank account numbers, through this site.

Why we collect it

To answer your request; to deliver the mandate (assess, select, train and integrate a person, then follow up); for invoicing and administration; to improve the site; to keep you informed about your mandate or, with your consent, our services; and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Legal basis

Depending on where you are, we rely on your consent (for example when you fill in a form), the performance of a contract or pre-contract steps, our legitimate interests (such as site security), and compliance with legal obligations. For organizations in the European Union, these correspond to Articles 6(1)(a), (b) and (f) of the GDPR.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the placed person and the client company as needed for the mandate; with service providers that support our operations (hosting, email, CRM, payroll for talent), bound by confidentiality obligations; when the law requires it or to protect our rights; and in a business reorganization, in which case we would inform the people concerned beforehand.

International transfers

We work with talent recruited remotely, so your information may be accessed or stored outside the country where you live, including in Canada where our main infrastructure is hosted. When a transfer requires it, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law: contact requests that did not become a mandate, up to 24 months; active client files, for the mandate plus the period required by accounting and tax rules (generally 6 to 7 years); unsuccessful applications, up to 24 months unless you ask otherwise; browsing data, according to each analytics tool, generally 14 to 26 months.

Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures, including HTTPS encryption, least-privilege access to files and confidentiality agreements with anyone who handles personal information. No system is infallible; if a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people concerned and the competent authorities as required by law.

Cookies

This site uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how it is used. Some cookies are strictly necessary; others are optional and used for statistics or, where applicable, advertising. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies and configure your browser to block or delete them at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, withdraw consent, request deletion, receive your data in a portable format, object to certain processing, and file a complaint with the competent authority, in Québec the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) and in Canada the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. To exercise a right, write to rayan@accelerateurlocal.ca. We reply within the legal time limits (generally 30 days).

Candidates and talent

If you apply to join our talent pool, your information (CV, experience, assessment results) is used only for selection, training and placement with a client company. Once placed, your file may be shared with that client as needed for the mandate. You can ask at any time to be removed from our active pool by writing to the address in section 14.

Minors

Our services are for businesses and professionals. This site is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page, and we will notify active clients by email of any significant change.
