Contract framework & site use

Terms of use

These terms govern your use of accelerateurlocal.ca and set the general framework of the relationship between Accélérateur Local and the client companies and talent we work with. The specific terms of each mandate are set out in a separately signed service agreement.

Last updated: September 13, 2026 (English version of the French terms; the French version prevails) Governed by the laws of Québec, Canada

Acceptance of the terms

By visiting or using the site accelerateurlocal.ca (the "site"), or by using the services ofAccélérateur Local, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or our services.

These terms add to, and do not replace, any service agreement signed separately between Accélérateur Local and a client company. If the two conflict for a given mandate, the signed service agreement prevails.

Description of services

Accélérateur Local offers two types of services to client companies:

  • Recruiting and onboarding — finding, assessing and placing remote talent to fill a specific role in your company.
  • Outsourced departments — setting up and managing a structured, KPI-driven team that runs a complete function for your company.

The exact content of each mandate (role, scope, timeline, pricing) is agreed case by case and recorded in a separate service agreement.

What we are not

Accélérateur Local recruits, trains and supervises talent dedicated to your company. Our services are not a local payroll system (Employer of Record or "EOR") and do not make you compliant with the employment obligations of the country where the talent is based or where you are located. If your company needs such a system, a separate, dedicated agreement is required.

The client remains responsible for making sure its relationship with the placed talent complies with the labour, tax and immigration laws of its own jurisdiction.

Permitted use of the site

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes consistent with these terms. In particular, you may not:

  • Use the site in a way that could damage, disable or overload it;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers or databases;
  • Extract, copy or reproduce site content for commercial purposes without prior written permission;
  • Send through the site any content that is illegal, misleading, defamatory or infringes the rights of others;
  • Use robots, scripts or other automated means to crawl or copy the site without our consent.

Forms and accuracy of information

When you fill in a form on this site (contact, description of a need, application), you agree to provide accurate, complete and current information. Accélérateur Local may verify this information and refuse or stop a mandate if information provided proves false or misleading.

Intellectual property

The content of this site (text, layout, graphics, logos, icons and trademarks) belongs to Accélérateur Local or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print extracts for personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify them and keep all copyright notices.

Any other use, reproduction, distribution or modification of the content without our prior written permission is prohibited.

Obligations of the client company

By using our services, the client company agrees to:

  • Provide an accurate description of the role or function to fill, and the access to tools and templates needed to train and onboard the talent;
  • Name a person responsible for approving delivered work and following the mandate;
  • Treat the placed talent with respect and within the framework of the service agreement, including the agreed hours and applicable time zone;
  • Not directly solicit a placed talent, without our consent, for a job or side mandate outside the framework agreed with Accélérateur Local, during the mandate and for a reasonable period after it ends, as set out in the service agreement;
  • Respect the payment terms agreed in the applicable service agreement.

Obligations to talent

Accélérateur Local commits to recruiting, assessing and training each talent through a rigorous process before a mandate starts, to following up regularly throughout the placement, and to remaining available to adjust, retrain or replace the profile as needed. Subject to applicable law, each talent keeps their rights to fair working conditions.

Fees and payment terms

The fees for each mandate, invoicing terms and payment deadlines are set in the service agreement signed with each client company and are not published on this site. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are issued in Canadian dollars (CAD) and payable on the agreed terms. The first month of each recruiting mandate is offered without commitment, as presented during the initial call and confirmed in writing.

Term and termination

Each mandate stays in force according to the applicable service agreement. Either party may end a mandate with the notice set out in that agreement. Accélérateur Local may suspend or end access to the site or its services if these terms are not respected.

Warranties and disclaimer

The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Accélérateur Local does not guarantee that the site will be error-free, always available or free of viruses or other harmful components.

For our placement services, we commit to a rigorous selection process but cannot guarantee a specific result regarding the individual performance of a placed talent. Our first-month satisfaction guarantee, where applicable, is detailed in the signed service agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Accélérateur Local is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage arising from use of the site or our services, including without limitation loss of profits, data or business opportunities.

In all cases, Accélérateur Local's total liability to a client company for a given mandate cannot exceed the fees paid to Accélérateur Local for that mandate in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless the service agreement or a mandatory provision of public order that cannot be limited provides otherwise.

Confidentiality

The handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. Documents, plans, files and business information you share with us during a mandate remain your property and are treated as confidential, with access limited to the people assigned to your file.

Third-party links

This site may contain links to third-party websites, provided for information only. Accélérateur Local has no control over these sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, privacy practices or availability.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from use of the site or our services falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the judicial district of Québec, unless a signed service agreement provides otherwise.

Before any formal proceeding, the parties agree to try in good faith to settle any dispute amicably by contacting us at the address in section 17.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms of use at any time to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change is posted means you accept the revised terms. Ongoing mandates remain governed by the service agreement in force when they were signed.
